Shijo-Tsushin

"Shijo-Tsushin" is a private newsletter co-edited by Atsushi FURUIYE, Akira TOSE and Maki OSHIKA. We are Japanese, and share the experience of having grown up abroad and returned to Japan, and of being labeled as "kikokushijo".
"Shijo-Tsushin" came to being first as a printed newsletter in June 1995, and is still being published on paper. Around 400 copies of each issue are sent to people who are also ex-/re- patriated Japanese, and those people concerned such as teachers, researchers, counselors, etc. Some are sent to our friends.

The original "Shijo-Tsushin" on paper is still written mostly in Japanese, but since it's introduced on the Net in January 1996, we are experiencing an increasing number of accesses from people who need to read it in English. The English version is created on the Net for English readers, and the translation from Japanese is done by our volunteers.
