TELL Activity Description

TELL Board December 2000

AUCTION

Once a year TELL holds an Auction for donated items such as Fine Art, Wine, Air Tickets, Restaurant Coupons, etc. Volunteers are asked to help find donors; to sell tickets and to manage the Auction procedures.

CALENDAR

TELL makes and sells a Calendar that provides a wide range of useful information for the International Community. Volunteers are asked to help find companies who may be interested in advertising in the Calendar; to decide the layout; to find large purchase agencies and to help Retail Sale.

CARD

TELL makes and sells a Greeting or Seasonal Card. Volunteers are asked to help design and sell the card.

CONCERT

TELL produces a Classic Concert with IND or on its own. Volunteers are asked to help plan; to sell tickets and to manage the Concert.

CORPORATE FOREIGN / CORPORATE JAPANESE

TELL tries to seek support from Foreign and Japanese Corporate Companies. Volunteers are asked to help contact Corporate Companies, requesting donations for TELL. For "Foreign Corporate", the campaign is administered through the "Corporate Council".

DESIGN

Volunteers are asked to help design Pamphlets; Flyers; Posters and other TELL related material.

FRIENDS OF TELL

TELL seeks a variety of Individual Donors; Friends of TELL. Volunteers are asked to help provide information of whom to contact and help write a follow-up letter.

INFORMATION COORDINATION

TELL receives information from those who want to support TELL activities either as a Volunteer or Event Participant. Volunteers are asked to receive and sort out information, then distribute it to the appropriate section within TELL.

MOVIE PREMIER

With generous support from Movie Companies, TELL is able to organise a Movie Premier. Volunteers are asked to help identify a supporting Movie Company; to plan; to sell tickets and to manage the event.

TELL issues a Newsletter for TELL supporters. Volunteers are asked to help make and distribute the Newsletter.

OUTREACH

TELL holds a close relationship with various bodies, such as, Congregations, Donating Organizations, Schools, Societies etc. Volunteers are asked to help develop or maintain Contacts; to provide them with a report about TELL and to confirm their continued support for TELL.

PHONE COUNSELLOR

Anonymous, Confidential and Free-phone counselling is the heart of TELL.
TELL provides training for those who are interested to be Phone Counsellors, once or twice a year.

RUNATHON

Once a year TELL holds a Family-oriented Runathon/Walkathon around the Imperial Palace. Volunteers are asked to help find supporting groups; to plan; to sell tickets and to organize the event.
